Isolation of Pathogenic Bacteria from Equipment of the Care Units, Hands and Mobile Devices for Medical Staff in Educational Al-Hussein Hospital

Bacterial contamination of intensive care units is medical concern because it one the large risk factors ICU -acquired infections and centre point multi-drug resistant pathogens . Cell phones are important source microbial transmission as human also may be cause increased for incidence bacterial well natural microbiota skin .The aim this study to isolate diagnose bacteria from mobile devices staff in these at Educational Al -Hussein Hospital In city Nasiriyah. Collection samples teaching Al-Hussein hospital, number 100 distributed Between Swabs mobiles(30) hospital staffs ( 50) hands nursing worker Technicians doctor Stethoscope collecting samples(20) swab department (Intensive unit),CCU (Critical unit), RCU (Respiratory unit) collect equipment unit (ECG (Electro cardio graph), DC- Shock, Suction Device (sucker) , Monitor Ventilator )analyzed by standard Bacteriological methods. The frequency pathogenic obtained clinical isolates sections was 60 out 20 swab. maximum E. coli 15 (25)%, most them Device, lowest Staphylococcus epidermitis with 3 (5)%, mostly unit(sucker)and positive culture (32) which more than negative culture(18) 50 swabs, But higher found a stethoscope 8 (25)% followed technician Workers 7 (21.8)% Respectively highest percentage contaminated on phone health were E.coli, Enterococcus faecalis(16.3 ) % Staphylococci aureus (14.5%), Klebsiella pneumonia (12.7%) .bacterial cultures rate among age groups (31-40) years 56.3%. female showed compares males 56.2% Keywords: units( E.coli
